I’ve noted a long history of ignoring crime right in front of our noses and failing to prosecute or dole out any meaningful punishment in a recent post. Mine is the short list off the top of my head, 1960s assassinations, Watergate light sentences and pardons, Reagan Iran Hostages ignored later proven true, Iran/Contra failure to indict many and pardons all around for the indicted, two stolen elections before we ever got to Trump, Plame outing — Scooter sentence commuted and the rest aren’t charged, Iraq War lies, 2008 economic collapse. I’m sure there are a lot more cases when the American public was cheated out of knowledge and justice. I’m sick of protesting all by myself. If Americans won’t demand justice they won’t get it for these matters or for themselves when they need it.
